Blessed with a great variety of soils, climates, geography, geology, history and culture, layered with knowledge of food, agriculture as well as appreciators, it is easy to see why France is home to every great wine style in the World. Many are copied in other regions throughout the World of Wine, but winemakers and drinkers continue to use French classic wines as the gauge for quality comparisons at almost every level.
