Provence is an anomally, making some of the World's most sought after and iconic branded Rose, with the (sometimes) input of rockstars and Hollywood actors alike, yet it's high quality red and whites languish from lack of interest or appreciation. Situated to the east of Marseilles, it is an area of beautiful sun kissed beaches, secluded villas, cyprus trees, warm stone villages which are are picture-postcard beautiful, long summers, even longer lunches and super yachts.
The wines are made from a blend of grapes such as Cinsault, Mourvedre, Grenache, Carignan & Tibouren, with vines planted throughout the Var region and encompassing around 85 communes with borders on the sea and neighbouring the regions of Cassis and Bandol. The style of wine is pale, almost water white, with a crisp, steely acidity and grip. It is a wine most often purchased 'on the eye', meaning the lighter and paler the better - but as with all things it is very subjective. Do not discard a wine because it is a little darker - these are often the better wines and have more flavour and depth.
Our suppliers come from all around the world, but they share one common goal – quality.
