Château Tour de Luchey

Country: France

Classified as a ‘simple’ Bordeaux Rouge, this small family domaine has been in the Masse Family for 5 generations, taking its name from the medieval tower that stands on the edge of the 23 Ha vineyards that spread north of the hamlet of Moulon toward St Emilion. Planted to 80% Merlot, with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, the picking is done by hand and the wine fermented in cement tanks before ageing in 5% new oak, with the remainder aged in a mixture of steel tank and old barrels. This is a super, ripe, soft and classy claret displaying a lovely fragrance and touch of oak .
