South Africa’s Western Cape Province is home to most of South Africa’s winemaking regions, including Stellenbosch, Constantia and Franschhoek. Wines from the Western Cape are traditionally drank young, and are full-bodied and fruity. The region is famous for dry whites including Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, and fruity reds with a full body and tannic structure. The region also grows a lot of Pinotage, which is seen as South Africa’s national grape.
